How Women Can Defend Themselves Against Threat While In College

By Jimbo I Lesneyy

I would be leaving behind the comforts of my own home for college soon and, while this newly found independence was thrilling, I could not help but be more careful about my safety in the campus.

I would be living in a dormitory and I expected to have evening classes many times a week. My mom was always stressing out about my safety, that was the reason why I began considering personal protection for women right then.

My sister's best friend had encountered date rape. The misfortune had cost her the kind of education that she deserved, as she was made to quit college.

My sibling, in fact, had supplied herself with a 950,000 volt rechargeable lipstick stun weapon with flashlight as a personal protection weapon. Stun guns could disable an opponent temporarily due to the electrical shocks that he could experience upon impact. The camouflaged stun weapon looked like a regular lipstick, hence giving anyone little or no clue as to when he was about to be shocked.

I used to visit my aunt every single summer. I then recalled my cousin having a black flat kubotan. A kubotan is built to inflict discomfort and could cause paralysis if utilized correctly. The best parts to target would be the bony surfaces, soft tissues and also nerve points. Her flat kubotan seemed like the conventional key ring but it may be effective in taking an attacker down.

A pepper pen which I ordered online had 5 one-second bursts and could spray as much as 6 feet. The 10-gram mini self-defense spray was perfect for it appeared like a typical pen which I could easily clip within my very own pocket.

The burning feeling caused by pepper sprays could weaken an aggressor by affecting his own eyes or skin. The temporary lapse on his part could be my best opportunity to flee and ask for help.

Date rape as well as assault inside school premises are very serious concerns. By using these non deadly weapons as personal protection for women, security is at your fingertips.
